Young Artist Program
Each year, we offer a full fellowship for college undergraduate and/or graduate students who play violin, viola, cello, and/or conduct to participate in the Summer Music Festival as Young Artist Fellows. This program is offered completely free-of-cost to accepted students.
Each fellow plays with and assists our faculty in coaching the String Quartets for the Chamber Music Program, and also serve in a collaborative ensemble to rehearse with and support our string and piano solo performers. They will develop their pedagogy and performance skills side-by-side with our artist faculty, and serve as musical mentors to a wide range of students of all ages and ability levels. In addition, each fellow is provided a nominal stipend to cover travel costs, as well as lunch each day.
There are six fellowship positions open for 2020.
If you are interested in applying for this program, please email our Artistic Director with:
1. A brief statement of interest
2. A one-page resume of your current musical pursuits
3. A video link to a solo or chamber music performance in which you appear from the past year.
